Labradors are the best dogs in the world. Between Bruce and I we've had lots of dogs in our lives, but never have encountered a smarter breed than a Lab. Katy is our yellow lab and I swear sometimes she is a person dressed up in a dog costume. Her vocabulary is that of a 3 year old kid and her personality is just a kick! Frodo, our sweet kitty, is the world's coolest cat. He was a rescue cat and we adopted him when he was only a few weeks old. He immediately took to Katy, the Lab, and thinks she is his mother. Consequently, he acts just like a dog. In fact, he often imitates Katy by posing just like her! It is a hoot. I love it when I catch the two of them sleeping together!

ReplyDeleteOne sure can get attached to a pet quick. Our two little ones were both "walk ups" but we love them just the same. The black cat, Spooky, is going on 17 years old.

Pets are "people", too! The difference between a cat and dog is a dog will come when called and a cat will take a message and get back to you...
